Dayton at 30. To mark 30 years since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the establishment of de facto peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, PCRC and its partners prepared a series of events, including the youth-led Peace Festival and an international conference, “Dayton Legacies: 30 Years of Peace”.
In its 4th iteration, PCRC’s Peace Festival brought together 50 young people from across the country for a five-day intensive program exploring how activism, citizen journalism, and education can spark values of peace, empathy, and interethnic dialogue. A special part of the Festival was the conference, which welcomed representatives of the international community, teachers and educators, and regional activists to discuss how the legacy of war and genocide can drive social change and inspire prevention.
As part of marking 30 years of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 88 young authors created the Subjective Atlas of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a publication that captures how young people see, feel, and imagine their country through drawings, collages, and photographs.
