Anna Lindh Foundation

OUR GOAL

Making dialogue and understanding the norm not the exception

The Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) is an intergovernmental organisation that brings together civil society organisations, institutions, governments, and change-makers from across the Euro-Mediterranean region. Through our diverse programmes and initiatives, we create spaces for people to meet, learn, and collaborate on relevant key themes. By exchanging knowledge and experiences, we build meaningful networks that transform dialogue into action, creating a ripple effect that empowers individuals and communities, spreading positive change across the region.

The Network of Networks

At the heart of ALF’s structure lies a dynamic force, visually symbolised by the 43 pebbles in our logo. Each pebble stands for a unique voice and perspective, all connected together in the same space. This visual representation is proudly brought to life by ALF’s Networks of over 4,500 members, making it the largest civil society Network in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Our Network spans a diverse range of entities, community-based organisations, academic institutions, social enterprises, local administrations, media outlets and more. The diversity of our networks’ members extends also to their fields of expertise ranging from arts and culture to education and everything in between.
Every network interprets intercultural dialogue through its own lens and contributes in its own way. This diversity in approach promotes creative problem-solving and effective implementation strategies. One size does not fit all, and therein lies our strength, being innovative and adaptable, transcending size, diversity, and geography.Together, we implement coexistence in practice, creating an extended community strongly united by a shared vision yet enriched by its diversity.
