Airesis ETS was founded in 2007 with the mission of using Theatre and Theatrical Pedagogy as a tool for personal growth, education, and community development.
Airesis is a Third Sector Organization, part of the Gruppo Eleusis, a network of associations and professionals in education and training that applies the Metodo Teatrico® (Teatrico Method), an innovative and patented methodology for developing soft skills through theatrical practices.
For over 18 years, we have worked across diverse contexts — from schools, universities, and youth groups to companies, cultural institutions, and prisons — offering inclusive, workshop-based programs that foster learning, personal growth, and social empowerment. Airesis is committed to building strong networks with like-minded organizations and to bringing educational opportunities to communities facing social and economic challenges.
The primary beneficiaries of our activities are adolescents and young adults, schools of all levels, and NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training). Particular attention is given to priority groups living in conditions of social and economic disadvantage. Through our inclusive and workshop-based methodology, we aim to foster soft skills development, educational support, and empowerment, thus reducing inequalities and promoting active social participation.
Mission and Objectives
The main objectives of our activities are:
Fostering the development of soft skills that support personal growth, employability, and social inclusion.
Providing educational support and innovative learning opportunities in both formal and non-formal contexts.
Strengthening the capacity of schools, organizations, and local communities to address social and economic challenges through inclusive and participatory methodologies.
Promoting empowerment, resilience, and active citizenship, particularly among young people and groups at risk of marginalization.
Main Projects / Activities
Main activities on a Regional/National basis:
Theatre pedagogy and non-formal education in primary, secondary, and high schools, with more than 15 years of experience in using the Metodo Teatrico® to foster personal growth, creativity, and inclusion.
Teacher training and professional development, including certified courses (PNRR, ECM) on theatre pedagogy, emotional intelligence, and innovative educational practices.
Soft skills development and empowerment of adolescents, with specific focus on emotional awareness, communication, teamwork, leadership, and conflict resolution.
Storytelling and theatre-based projects addressing key social themes such as inclusion, intercultural dialogue, historical memory, resilience, and cultural heritage.
Collaboration with cultural institutions, schools, and local authorities across Italy, creating educational networks that link formal and non-formal contexts.
Artistic productions and community theatre projects, combining professional mentoring with youth participation, fostering intergenerational dialogue and civic engagement.
Expertise of the team: trainers and educators specialized in theatre pedagogy, community education, and youth empowerment, coordinated by Alberto Romano (President of Airesis, theatre pedagogue, director, and playwright).
Role in European projects:
Partner organization – contributing expertise in theatre pedagogy, youth engagement, and non-formal education, with specific experience in working with adolescents, schools, and disadvantaged contexts.
Training provider – offering innovative methodologies for the development of soft skills, group dynamics, and youth well-being, based on the Metodo Teatrico® and over 15 years of educational practice.
Dissemination and multiplier – ensuring strong connections with schools, local communities, cultural networks, and national partners, supporting the visibility and long-term impact of project outcomes.
Capacity building – supporting intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and empowerment of young people, while enhancing collaboration among educators, cultural operators, and institutions.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We can contribute to the ALF Network in our country by acting as a local hub for intercultural dialogue through arts-based and participatory practices.
Our organization works at the intersection of theatre, non-formal education and community empowerment, with a strong focus on youth, schools and local communities. Through our Theatre Method®, we facilitate the creation of small, empathetic micro-communities where dialogue, active listening and collective reflection are central.
Within the ALF Network, we can contribute by:
– sharing methodologies and good practices related to arts-based dialogue and youth engagement;
– hosting and co-organising local activities, workshops and public events aligned with ALF values;
– supporting outreach and dissemination at local and regional level, especially in educational and cultural contexts;
– fostering connections between civil society organisations, artists and educators interested in intercultural and social cohesion themes.
By working on the ground and maintaining close relationships with schools, youth groups and third-sector organisations, we can help translate ALF’s values and initiatives into concrete local actions.

Our work is rooted in the belief that intercultural dialogue is not only a thematic focus, but a lived process that emerges through shared experiences, collective creation and mutual recognition. This approach closely aligns with ALF’s commitment to fostering understanding, participation and peaceful coexistence across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Joining the Network would allow us to connect with like-minded organisations, exchange practices at international level and strengthen the quality and impact of our activities. At the same time, we see the ALF Network as an opportunity to contribute actively, bringing our experience in arts-based education and community-building into a broader, transnational framework.
