Al-Manara Association for Theater and Cinema is committed to fostering artistic expression and cultural development, particularly through theater and cinema. The association aims to engage youth, raise awareness on social issues, and use the arts as a tool for education and community empowerment.
Mission and Objectives
Provide high-quality training in theater and cinema to young talents.
Raise awareness of pressing societal issues, including youth deviance, drug abuse, and climate change, through artistic productions.
Establish professional creative spaces to support emerging artists.
Strengthen Morocco’s cultural identity and promote artistic innovation.
Organize national and international artistic events that connect artists and audiences.
Main Projects / Activities
Theater and Film Training: Workshops and preparatory classes for aspiring artists.
Theatrical Productions: Staging plays that address social and cultural issues.
Interactive Environmental Theater – The Voice of Nature: Raising awareness about climate change through theatrical performances.
Boukhador International Theater Festival: An annual festival that showcases theatrical talent from Morocco and beyond.
Dar Al-Fan Project: Developing a professional creative space for young artists in Boujdour.
Cultural and Social Engagement: Collaborating with local and international organizations to enrich Boujdour cultural scene.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Al-Manara Association for Theater and Cinema can contribute significantly to the network by promoting and enhancing the role of theater and cinema as tools for social change, youth empowerment, and cultural awareness. Through our projects, such as the Boukhador International Theater Festival and Interactive Environmental Theater – The Voice of Nature, we aim to create platforms for artistic expression while tackling pressing societal issues like youth deviance, drug abuse, and climate change. By collaborating with other local and international organizations, we can amplify the impact of our work and contribute to the growth of a vibrant cultural ecosystem in Morocco. Additionally, by fostering partnerships and providing high-quality training for young artists, we aim to strengthen the country's artistic community, promote cultural exchange, and facilitate collaboration on a national and international scale.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
We wish to join the ALF Network to expand our reach and connect with like-minded organizations and individuals who share a passion for using the arts as a tool for positive social change. By joining the network, Al-Manara Association can benefit from greater access to resources, knowledge exchange, and collaboration opportunities with other cultural actors across Europe and the Mediterranean. We aim to use this platform to raise awareness about the importance of cultural and artistic development in Morocco, especially in underrepresented regions like Boujdour. Being part of the ALF Network will help us strengthen our mission, enhance our projects, and ensure that we continue to empower young artists while addressing critical societal challenges.
