Alanqaa Association for Community Development is a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2003, based in Gaza, Palestine. The organization is dedicated to promoting sustainable community development and improving the lives of marginalized populations, particularly vulnerable groups and displaced families in the Gaza Strip. Alanqaa works on a variety of programs aimed at improving education, empowering women, and providing humanitarian aid.
Mission and Objectives
Mission: Alanqaa Association for Community Development is an independent civil society organization committed
to empowering the Palestinian community and strengthening its resilience. Alanqaa actively responds to
humanitarian and developmental needs in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, while fostering the
principles of solidarity and social responsibility.
Objectives:
1.Community Development:
Actively contribute to the community’s development by enhancing various sectors, including education, healthcare, and social services, with a focus on marginalized and low-income families.
2.Empowerment and Participation:
Empower individuals and communities to engage in decision-making processes and contribute to building a civil, democratic society.
3.Humanitarian Relief and Support:
Address immediate humanitarian needs by providing food aid, shelter, and psycho-social support during crises, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations.
4.Healthcare Services:
Enhance healthcare services, especially for individuals with disabilities and low-income families, through initiatives such as medical support and access to essential health services.
5.Education for Youth and Children:
Improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth and children, ensuring access to quality education, vocational training, and the provision of necessary materials.
6.Cultural and Agricultural Development:
Promote cultural, social, and agricultural development through targeted projects that engage local communities in sustainable practices.
7.Emergency Response:
Provide rapid response during emergencies to ensure the delivery of essential services and resources to affected populations.
Main Projects / Activities
1.Emergency Relief for Displaced Families:
Alanqaa association continues to provide critical assistance to those displaced by the conflict. This includes distributing food aid, providing shelter, and offering psychosocial support to families who have lost their homes.
2.Psychosocial Support for Children and Families:
Alanqaa has been focused on offering emotional support and trauma care, especially for children who have experienced significant distress due to the violence. Programs to help children recover through play, education, and psychological counseling are essential during these times.
3.Support for Vulnerable Groups:
