Alanya University is a non-profit foundation university located in Alanya, Antalya, Türkiye, a Mediterranean city hosting a diverse international community. The university provides undergraduate, graduate and vocational education in fields including tourism, business, engineering, communication, health sciences and gastronomy.
Due to its geographical position and international student population, the university actively promotes intercultural dialogue and international cooperation. Academic programs are aligned with the European Higher Education Area and the Bologna Process, while international mobility is supported through exchange programmes and partnerships across Europe and the Mediterranean region.
Beyond education, the university engages with the local community through cultural activities, artistic initiatives and international events that bring together students, researchers and residents from different cultural backgrounds.

Main Projects / Activities
Alanya University is a private, non-profit foundation university located in Alanya, Antalya, Türkiye. It was legally established in 2011 and began academic operations in 2014. The institution has operated under the name “Alanya University” since February 2023. It was founded by the Hamdullah Emin Pasha and Hatice Tahire Hanım Education Foundation, established in 1932.
The university operates two campuses in Alanya: the Central Campus (Cikcilli) and the Hamdullah Emin Paşa Campus (Çarşı). Its academic structure includes four faculties, a Vocational School, an Institute of Graduate Studies, and a School of Foreign Languages. It also runs a Continuing Education Center and TÖMER (Turkish and Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Center).
Alanya University offers undergraduate, graduate, and vocational programmes in tourism and hospitality management, business administration, computer engineering, management information systems, architecture and design, gastronomy and culinary arts, communication and digital media, animation, nursing, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and applied technical fields. All programmes are aligned with the Bologna Process and the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
The university hosts over 1,230 students, including more than 286 international students, representing approximately 24% of the student body and coming from 29 countries. The institution employs over 148 academic and administrative staff members.
Internationalization is a strategic priority. The university maintains more than 130 Erasmus+ agreements across 50 countries and has signed additional cooperation protocols with 45 higher education institutions worldwide. Since 2018, it has secured over €1.8 million in European Union project funding and actively participates in Erasmus+, Capacity Building in Higher Education, and European Solidarity Corps projects. It has organized five International Weeks, bringing together over 300 representatives from more than 80 institutions across 30+ countries.
Alanya University holds internationally recognized ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001). The Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts holds a six-year full accreditation from the Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board. The university is listed in Round University Ranking (RUR), Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, and UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.
Through its mission, Alanya University contributes to regional development, particularly in tourism, agriculture, and coastal resource management, while promoting innovation, sustainability, quality assurance, and global engagement.
