Alternative Brains Rule is a Nicosia-based non-profit company with over 13 years of experience in designing and managing innovative events and cultural actions across Cyprus, including The AfroBanana Festival, True Music Cyprus, ABR innovation Lab etc. Comprised of a dynamic team of 4 employees and a network of collaborators that get activated according to project needs, we merge professional and creative skills to innovate and explore new concepts in the creative scene. Our funding sources include government schemes, EU funding, private sponsorships, and revenue from events. We engage in a variety of activities such as hosting cultural music events, exhibitions, residencies, seminars, workshops, conferences, art installations.Mission and Objectives
To enrich and diversify the cultural landscape of Cyprus by creating innovative, groundbreaking events and experiences. The organization's objectives include: Innovative Event Design and Management: To conceptualize, design, plan, and manage unique and memorable events that stand out in the cultural scene of Cyprus. Collaboration and Community Engagement: To collaborate with a diverse network of artists, creatives, and businesses to foster a community-oriented approach to cultural events. Creative and Professional Growth: To push the boundaries of creativity and professionalism, merging various skills and backgrounds to bring fresh perspectives to the creative sector. Cultural Impact and Accessibility: To ensure that the events and initiatives have a positive impact on the local culture and are accessible to a wide audience, thereby enhancing cultural appreciation and participation. Network Expansion and Engagement: With its broad network of collaborators and partners, ABR can aid in expanding the reach of the Anna Lindh Network, helping to recruit new members from different sectors such as arts, engineers, sociologists and education.
