Armaa in Arabic means ,'ctoudC'. ln Jerusalem, when we see clouds, we are happy because we know that they bringthe lblessing of rain to our dry land. Clouds provide rain that helps I lhumanity live a beautiful, productive and happier tife. lThe Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation is a non_governmental, nonprofit organization, founded and registered in2014 (Reg. #- QR-1406-CU) by a group of patestinian academics/professionals committed to sustainable development in benefit of the Jerusalemite population. Armaa exists to help Palestinians live beautiful, productive and happy lives. The Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation is changing the face of Jerusalem communities' one child and one family at a time. We have a simple philosophy; we only work on the basis of trust. We lrust those who benefit from our work and thev trust us! Our work started in 2014 through the private voluntary initiative of Palestinian Jerusalemites who wanted to be a part of building theh society based on mutual trust, community service, accountability and transparency, Armaa has developed a solid reputation and lrack record of excellent performance in itsprogrammatic and administrative work. We believe that our communities know what they need oecause we are them and they are us. We listen to and are accountable to our community. We are bringing them real, sustainable development that improves and changes their lives for the better. Our work targets children, youth, women and the whole family. Armaa works in the following sectorsr Education, Children's RightsAdvocacy, youth and Women Empowerment. Culture and Voluntary Work. The Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation's work is supported through voluntary work, individual gifts from beneficiaries and suppo(ers, the palestinlan business community and international partners who know and trustArmaa and its work.
