General Information

ACE is a local organization based in Jerez de la Frontera (Andalucía). ACE's primary goal is to improve the lives of young people in the community by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to be active and engaged citizens. By promoting youth empowerment and participation, the organization aims to create a more inclusive and vibrant community where all young people have equal opportunities to succeed.

Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to empower youth, promote their civic participation, and enhance social inclusion. The organization's main objectives include:
- providing education, training, and skill-building programs for young people and educators
- fostering community engagement and social awareness
- creating a supportive environment for marginalized youth

Main Projects / Activities

ACE is an active member of the Local Youth Board of Jerez de la Frontera. We were voted in as Deputy Vice President by the representatives of the member organizations. We represent the Local Youth Board, along with another organization, at numerous institutional events and activities focused on youth and citizen participation in Jerez de la Frontera. This Local Youth Board was established on May 17, 2024, with the aim of prioritizing youth policies and ensuring that young people are aware of the projects and procedures discussed in these participatory spaces. It has its own internal operating regulations and is made up of 27 Youth Associations or Groups from each district of our city.

Local projects:
- Jerezart3D, project funded by the municipality of Jerez de la Frontera. This idea emerges as an opportunity to include 3D technology to take programs to a more immersive level of experience for learners. The goal is to develop digital skills in both young people and educators through 3D design and printing. This allows the development of tools for classes, sessions, and educational activities, as they can be printed according to the learner needs.
- Jerez Educa, program dedicated to promote the activities or local organisations in the educational institutions like high schools and education centers for adults. We offer two main activities: 3D printing as an innovative tool for educational purposes, and promotion of international mobility through Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps.

International mobility:
- From Jerez to Europe. ACE has its first implementation in 2024. A train journey between Spain, Portugal, and France allowed participants with fewer opportunities to discover the cultures of neighboring countries while traveling sustainably.

- Cooltural Layers. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange. Following the local strategy of cultural heritage and digital fabrication with young people from Poland, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Croatia and Spain.
- Youth culture and equality. Bilateral Erasmus+ Youth Exchange funded by Nouseva Rannikkoseutu Erasmus+ Youth accreditation.

To date, we have sent 90 young people and youth workers on 15 different projects, gaining experience in partnering with other countries.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We are excellent team players who can contribute with fresh energy to travel, work, and disseminate the activities of the Network. We are eager to implement projects that impact in society, especially in young people with fewer opportunities.
We are very active young people in diverse fields since our educational and career backgrounds are arts, environment, social work, engineering and international relations. We can provide training and facilitate non formal education programs for a wide range of target groups in many topics like leadership, project management, entrepreneurship, design, digital tools, and a long list going from soft skills to essential human rights.
We count with innovative equipment for 3D printing that we are currently using for our recent projects. We approach education in a way that every educator can build its own material adapted to the learners needs.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We were recommended to check this network and we would be very happy to join Anna Lindh Foundation. This is a huge pool of organisations and we are always open to collaborate with new stakeholders. It is an amazing opportunity for us to learn from others. This is translated to get more funding opportunities for cooperation and getting recognition at international level.
