Our multidisciplinary team (social workers, psychologists, lawyers, project managers) operates across five areas: equality and gender-based violence, migration and interculturality, social inclusion, employability, and participation & advocacy.
We implement 25–30 projects per year with an annual budget of over €700,000 funded by public institutions and private foundations. Modalities include individual and group support, community interventions, research, training, seminars, awareness campaigns, and international exchanges.
Our main funding partners include the Valencian Regional Government, Spanish Government, European Union, Oxfam Intermón, Caixa Popular, Fundación "la Caixa" and PORTICUS phylanthropic organisation. In addition, Por Ti Mujer maintains active collaboration in several european networks as the EAPN – Valencian Community, WAVE, ENoWM, ENAR and PICUM, among others, and Spanish and European universities.
Mission and Objectives
The mission of Asociación Por Ti Mujer ONGD is to eliminate the structural barriers that limit the full enjoyment of citizenship and human rights by women and girls, promoting empowerment and social participation through a holistic approach that integrates psychological, legal, and social support services. The organization promotes gender equality and equity, the prevention of all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls, intercultural dialogue, and social inclusion, with a special focus on migrant women, survivors of gender-based violence, and those at risk of social exclusion.
Its main objectives are:
- To prevent and address gender-based and sexual violence through coordinated, specialized multidisciplinary services — legal, psychological, and employment/socio-labour support.
- To foster the social, cultural, and economic inclusion of migrant women and their families.
- To strengthen intercultural coexistence and community participation from an intersectional and rights-based approach.
- To promote awareness, training, and advocacy actions aimed at advancing equality and human rights at the local, national, and European levels.
- To influence public policies and promote women’s social and community participation as active agents of change.
Main Projects / Activities
Por Ti Mujer ONGD implements more than twenty-five projects annually focused on gender equality, migration, social inclusion, and intercultural dialogue.
Its main lines of action include:
- Holistic and multidisciplinary support for migrant women and survivors of gender-based and sexual violence, providing coordinated psychological, legal, socio-administrative, and employment guidance services, preceded by an initial reception and assessment interview. Each woman receives an individualized support itinerary aimed at identifying her needs and promoting autonomy and social inclusion.
- Training and employability programmes, such as Violeta Labora and Catering Intercultural, which provide vocational and digital skills, mentoring, and access to decent work opportunities for women in vulnerable situations.
- Community awareness and intercultural initiatives, including Gastrodiversas and intercultural forums, that foster mutual understanding, dialogue, and the appreciation of cultural diversity as a key factor for social cohesion.
- Advocacy, research, and policy influence projects addressing gender-based violence, discrimination, housing exclusion, and institutional violence, promoting systemic changes in public policies affecting migrant women.
- Volunteering and community engagement programmes, such as Voluntariat Digital and Promotoras Comunitarias, which strengthen social participation, solidarity, and collective empowerment.
All activities are developed under an intersectional, feminist, and human rights–based approach, in close coordination with public institutions, universities, and social organizations.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Por Ti Mujer ONGD can contribute to the Anna Lindh Foundation Network in Spain by bringing over fifteen years of experience in gender equality, migration, and intercultural dialogue from a feminist and human rights–based approach.
We can offer expertise in developing inclusive and participatory community projects, promoting youth and women’s leadership, and implementing awareness and training actions that address gender-based violence, hate speech, and discrimination.
The organization can actively engage in joint advocacy and research initiatives that influence public policies toward greater equality and inclusion, and facilitate peer learning spaces among civil society, academia, and local authorities.
Through its strong partnerships with public institutions, universities, and European networks, Por Ti Mujer can help reinforce the visibility, capacity-building, and impact of the ALF Network in Spain and across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
Por Ti Mujer ONGD seeks to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network to strengthen collaboration and shared learning among civil society actors working for intercultural dialogue, gender equality, and social inclusion across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Our participation would allow us to exchange methodologies and good practices on women’s empowerment, prevention of violence and discrimination, and the inclusion of migrant communities, in line with the ALF priorities on gender equality, youth, and intercultural dialogue useful for society.
Being part of the Network would enhance our capacity to engage in joint initiatives that promote mutual understanding, challenge hate speech and xenophobia, and foster active citizenship—particularly of women and young people—as drivers of social transformation and policy change.
Through this membership, Por Ti Mujer aims to contribute to a Mediterranean space of peace, equality, and diversity where all voices are represented.
