General Information

The European Center for Diversity Association (EUdivers) was established in Tulcea city, Tulcea county, Romania, in 2006 and its main directions of action are: promotion of the municipality of Tulcea’s ethnic and cultural diversity, increasing the involvement of youth’s
role of active factor in the community, the promotion of volunteering and non-profit education - formal, supporting the local community by promoting its specific cultural, ethnic and geographical features.
To achieve its objectives, the association carries out activities such as: the development of programs and projects with reference to youth, cultural heritage, community development, ethnic minorities, non-formal education, the organization of training courses, seminars,
conferences, public debates and other activities of raising awareness of public opinion, according to the law, creating and editing books, periodicals, leaflets and other informative materials. Since 2011, it is the main organizer of the National Volunteer Week in Tulcea and a
partner of Tulcea Volunteer Gala. The association has a permanent team of 25 volunteers (aged between 13 and 19), logistics
(video projector, laptop, etc.) and project management expertise. As an NGO affiliated with Tulcea County Youth Foundation, EU divers benefits from free access to conference rooms within this entity. Also, there is a long and fruitful collaborative relationship with the 13
organizations of Tulcea ethnic minorities (Turks, Tatars, Russians, Ukrainians, Italians, Germans, Jews, Greeks, Armenians, Roma, Meglens and Aromanians), with cultural institutions and local museums.
All the financing contracts signed by the organization since its establishment in 2006 and until now have been respected, there have been no termination situations or problems in project implementation.
More than 40 projects have been initiated and carried out until now, most of them aiming to promote Tulcea community by involving different social segments - young people, ethnic groups, disadvantaged social categories.
Between 2010-2014 we have implemented 4 projects financed by the European Union within Youth in Action Programme- Group Initiatives. Beginning 2014 until now we have focused on enhancing and developing public- private partnerships, by accessing funds from local and county authorities.
We were able to continue our activities during Pandemic by adapting our initiatives to the restrictions issued by national legislation and respecting all the requires in order to provide safe conditions to our volunteers.
