General Objectives
The general objectives of the Mansoa/Matosinhos Friendship Association are as follows:
a) To survey and keep an up-to-date register of Mansoans living in Portugal, as well as Portuguese living in Guinea-Bissau, with a view to establishing forms of support and co-operation.
b) Promote the dissemination of the realities experienced in Mansoa using the available media;
c) Establishing co-operation relations with similar associations, whether governmental or not, in Guinea-Bissau and Portugal;
d) Promote and participate in cultural, sporting, social and economic events by organizing public initiatives at regional/national level;
e) To promote forms of involvement and support for the Association's cause on the part of the Portuguese born and raised in Mansoa;
f) To promote the development, dissemination and preservation of Mansoa's historical and traditional values without losing respect for Portuguese cultural identity and vice versa;
g) To create the right conditions to welcome other Associations with the same objectives, so that they can use the Associations of Friends of Mansoa/Matosinhos to discuss their problems;
h) Promote exchanges with similar associations in the PALOP countries.
