The Youth Competency Development Association is a non-governmental organization that provides young people and professionals with the opportunity to share knowledge and experience across sectors, as well as carrying out high-level training, research and consultancy projects on topics such as employment, entrepreneurship, vocational qualification, digitalization, migration, volunteering and youth work. By promoting sustainable development and by providing opportunity and access to education and training, the YCDA contributes to international development goals. The organization also advocates for social and economic justice and works to combat poverty and inequality. In addition, the YCDA engages in campaigns to protect the environment and to promote human rights.
Mission and Objectives
Objectives:
Promoting youth to develop soft skills and competences,
Promoting justice and human rights,
To ensure equal access to opportunities, regardless of background or identity.
Promoting inter-cultural dialogue on discrimination, ethics and religion, and making sure that disadvantaged groups are not left behind.
Encouraging entrepreneurial learning through entrepreneurship education and cooperation between educational institutions, businesses and youth.
Developing training courses to help young people acquire essential skills and key digital-ICT competencies.
Promoting youth civic engagement, responsible EU citizenship, and democracy through policy dialogue and youth work.
Working Areas:
Youth development, entrepreneurship, leadership, intercultural competence, employability, information and communication technology (ICT), creative and critical thinking, conflict resolution, soft skills, digital skills, human rights, ethics.
Target Group:
The target group are young people aged between 16-30 who come from disadvantaged areas or have fewer opportunities. This mostly include young people who are migrants, geographically disadvantaged, or come from low-income families.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
The Youth Competency Development Association (YCDA) seeks to join the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) Network to amplify our efforts in promoting intercultural dialogue, youth empowerment, and social justice. As an organization committed to fostering inclusion, equality, and skill development for disadvantaged youth, we believe that ALF’s vision aligns with our goals. Joining the network will enable us to collaborate with like-minded organizations, share best practices, and participate in impactful initiatives that bridge cultural divides. By contributing our expertise in education, digital innovation, and human rights advocacy, we aim to support ALF’s mission while expanding our reach and creating meaningful change within our communities and beyond.
