Association Local Action Group AGRO LIDER Krivogashtani is an independent, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization founded on 15 of August 2014. The organization attempts to increase opportunities for people from rural areas in the field of socio-economic development, education, culture and sport. The Local Action Group Agro Lider acting as an association of CSO's in partnership with Local Government on Municipalities of Krivogashtani, Krushevo, Dolneni and Prilep. Since its founding in 2014, LAG AGRO LIDER is a bridge between local government, public institutions, business entities and civic sector, actively working to encourage all relevant actors to work together for the benefit of the whole community.
The core values of the organization are: Active participation, democracy, equal opportunities, transparency, solidarity, tolerance, understanding, mutual support and collaboration.
The organization uses a holistic approach to undertake development initiatives to cater to the protection of human rights, attainment of sustainable livelihoods and empowerment of the people in rural areas. Main areas of work – sustainable rural development, social justice, gender equality, youth, environmental protection, sport, and culture.
The organizational activities and operations are organized by the LAG Agro Lider staff. It has 3 employees, 2 women and 1 man.
The main components which LAG Agro Lider are comprised of are: its membership, decision making bodies and its professional staff team. LAG Agro Lider' membership is open to individuals and representatives of public bodies, civil society organizations, businesses and people living and/or working within the LAG Agro Lider boundaries.
Organizational structure of LAG Agro Lider:
General Assembly – 29 members (16 Men/13 Women; Age up to 29 – 4; Age up to 60-23; above 60 years -2). AGRO LIDER' General Assembly reflects that set out in the Statute and internal organizations document and no more than 49% of the membership of any decision-making body may come from a single interest group. Community-led local development must be led by local action groups composed of representatives of public and private local socio-economic interests, in which, at the decision-making level neither public authorities, as defined in accordance with national rules, nor any single interest group (farmers, women’ associations, etc.) represents more than 49 % of the voting rights .
LAG Agro Lider implements age, gender and diversity approach in order to ensure that all persons/members fully participate in decision processes within the organization. It is represented by President of the organization (woman), Management Board – 11 members (4 men and 7 women) and Advisory board – 3 members (1 representative of public sector, one of private sector and one of civic sector 3 men/0 women)
The agenda based on sustainable rural development is a basic principle in our activities, while the right to choose - our key message. We promote and contribute to sustainable rural development through initiatives, partnerships, and the use of endogenous community potential with aim to promote the use of existing resources and values within communities to support the management of local traditions and natural resources. We are focused on positive environmental, social, and demographic trends, network cooperation, establishment and participation of civic platforms and strengthening solidarity between citizens and CSOs in promoting rural development policies.

Mission and Objectives
Our mission is to promote and contribute towards sustainable rural development in the municipalities of Krivogashtani, Dolneni, and Krushevo through initiatives, partnerships, and use of existing internal potential.
LAG’s objectives:
-To promote rural development via local initiatives and partnerships;
-To improve the living and working conditions in the LAG territory;
-To contribute into preservation of the existing and creation of new jobs;
-To contribute into creation of new opportunities for sustainable development;
-To contribute into diversification of economic activities;
-To contribute for development of the territory of the LAG operates via development of products and services based on relating traditional cultural and historical inheritance and innovations;
-To provide leadership and good practices in the community and in the volunteering sector;
-To provide flow of information and transfer of knowledge in order to obtain advancement in the rural and local communities development;
-Encouragement of initiatives and activities in the rural areas that contribute towards protection and advancement of environment and nature
-To develop mutual cooperation and networking between interested parties which have interest for development of rural communities;
-To use and develop the existing endogenous potential for rural development;
-To strengthen financial and human resources for implementing rural development projects;
-To prepare the members and other interested parties at the territory of the LAG operates for using EU access fund as well as the structural funds after becoming EU member and other sources of funding;
-To look after the development of infrastructure, ecology and social development, cultural and economic one and other types of development in the extended rural area;
-To act in accordance with the 7 principles of the EU LEADER approach: Local development strategy based on a certain area, Local public-private partnership, bottom-up approach, Integrated and multisector approach, Innovation, Cooperation and Networking
