General Information

Association Doverba-Kumanovo has an Assembly that makes all decisions on current activities, as well as adopting the final account, work plan, development, etc. It meets once a year or more often if necessary. The association does not have any employees and freelancers are hired depending on the activities. In 2024 we have a donation of 24,000 euros from EIZ-Ecumenical Initiative Women-Croatia. The project has been created with students, parents and teachers from 4 high schools in Kumanovo. As part of the project various trainings, workshops, forums, athletic races, TV shows, have been organized. The trainings are for psychosocial assistance to victims of violence and the creation of a self-help and support group in 4 high schools.

Mission and Objectives

Strengthening the mental, emotional and psychological health of the people from the community.

Main Projects / Activities

The basic goals and tasks of the Association "Doverba" are aimed at the younger generations, their development into competent participants in society, strengthening the mental, emotional and physical health of people, strengthening family relationships, supporting civil and democracy in the Republic of Macedonia.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

With the projects for non-violent communication and mediation, student clubs have been created for mediation and providing assistance to young people in conflict situations. Educated young people have strengthened their self-confidence and are active participants in changes in their community with a non-violent approach to solving problems using mediation and strengthening mental health through psychosocial assistance to victims of violence and encouraging bystanders to actively participate in supporting victims, as well as raising awareness of perpetrators. We can connect any of the member organisation's in our region in contact for potential cooperation and exchange with these pupils clubs functioning in the 4 local secondary schools. Additionally we are ready to involve and get the contribution from our organisation’s volunteers in any activity that the network organizes.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We want to be part of your network because through it we will have an increased exchange of experiences, improve and increase our targeted support for young people to demonstrate their knowledge and desire to improve the living conditions in their community.
