General Information

Link APS is a non-profit organization based in Altamura (Southern Italy), active since 2003 in the fields of youth work, non-formal education, intercultural learning and community development.
Link promotes European values and active citizenship through local and international projects supported by the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programmes.
The association manages the Agorateca – Community Library, an open space for learning, creativity and participation where young people and citizens can access educational resources, take part in cultural events, artistic residencies, workshops and volunteering activities.

Mission and Objectives

Link APS promotes youth participation, intercultural dialogue and active citizenship through education, creativity and solidarity. The association believes that young people are key actors for social change and that international mobility and community engagement can foster inclusion, empathy and awareness of global challenges.

Objectives

To empower young people through non-formal education, volunteering and intercultural experiences.

To promote equality, diversity and gender balance as fundamental European values.

To encourage active citizenship and democratic participation at local and European levels.

To support creativity and art as tools for community development and social transformation.

To foster environmental awareness and sustainable lifestyles among youth.

To build networks among local, national and international partners to strengthen cooperation and solidarity.

Through its activities, Link APS aims to create spaces where young people can learn, express themselves, and take responsibility for building more inclusive and sustainable communities.

Main Projects / Activities

European Volunteering and Mobility Projects

Hosting and coordinating European Solidarity Corps volunteers.

Organizing short-term and long-term volunteering activities in the community.

Promoting intercultural exchange and learning among youth from different countries.

Agorateca – Community Library & Cultural Hub

Providing a space for reading, creativity, workshops, and social gatherings.

Hosting artistic residencies, educational activities, and cultural events.

Supporting youth-led initiatives and community projects.

Education and Non-Formal Learning

Conducting workshops on soft skills, digital literacy, sustainability, and active citizenship.

Collaborating with schools to provide alternative learning opportunities.

Developing programs for social inclusion and empowerment of marginalized groups.

Art, Creativity, and Social Inclusion

Organizing art and creative projects that engage young people and the local community.

Using creative activities to raise awareness on social issues (gender equality, inclusion, diversity).

Hosting exhibitions, performances, and public events showcasing youth creativity.

Community Engagement and Partnerships

Building networks with local NGOs, schools, municipalities, and informal youth groups.

Promoting civic engagement, volunteerism, and participation in local and European initiatives.

Supporting projects that strengthen the sense of community and solidarity.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Link is developing a strategy called MedEu, which aims to foster cooperation in the Mediterranean area, promoting exchange of volunteers and implementation of different projects promoting intercultural dialogue. We can contribute by planning new international initiatives also in the filed of of art and in every possible way to stimulate young people and citizens to participate to the construction of a more tolerant and open minded society.

Link has always paid attention to diversity and inclusion and since 2003 tries to promote these values. We think we perfectly fit into the Network because we fully share the goals and the methologies.
