Mission and Objectives

The mission of ATTACTUS is to foster creative expression and social awareness by integrating performing arts into educational settings. The organization is dedicated to creating and promoting artistic performances and educational workshops that engage audiences of all ages. ATTACTUS aims to bridge the gap between arts and education, utilizing artistic methods as tools for personal development, social inclusion, and community engagement. It seeks to facilitate collaboration and networking between artists, educators, and youth, encouraging co-creation and mutual learning. Through these efforts, ATTACTUS provides professional artists with the opportunity to share their diverse methodologies, backgrounds and creative processes.
ATTACTUS strives to organize and promote high-quality artistic performances that reflect the diversity of artistic disciplines and cultural origins. The organization develops and implements educational workshops using performing arts as a tool for non-formal learning, focusing on building skills, personal growth, and social responsibility. It engages youth and communities through participatory art initiatives that promote a deeper understanding of cultural diversity and social cohesion. By creating a sustainable platform for intercultural exchange and collaboration, ATTACTUS brings together artists, educators, and community members from different backgrounds. The organization aims to strengthen the visibility of arts in the local and regional community while at the same time seeks to create lasting connections that transcend borders, contributing to intercultural dialogue in the Mediterranean.

Provided training for youth workers, equipping them with non-formal facilitation techniques inspired by theater pedagogy and participatory learning.
Developed projects that promote collaborative artistic creation, empowering young people to explore identity, inclusion, and active citizenship through artistic expression.

The organization has collaborated with different active initiatives, in a local and national level, such as:
The Experimental Stage of Kalamata
The Teenage Group of the Messini Theater Workshop

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

ATTACTUS can make a significant contribution to the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) Network in Greece by sharing its expertise in using the arts to foster social inclusion and personal growth. Through its focus on artistic practices and educational workshops, ATTACTUS can bring innovative approaches to engaging diverse communities, especially youth, in meaningful cultural exchanges. The organization's experience in creating participatory artistic experiences can help promote social awareness and creative expression, aligning with ALF's mission of building intercultural understanding. By facilitating collaboration between local artists, educators, and young people, ATTACTUS can strengthen the network's impact in Greece, encouraging cross-sector cooperation and shared learning while at the same time build bridges between local and international artists. Additionally, ATTACTUS can offer insights into how art-based methods can be integrated into informal education, providing valuable knowledge for other members of the ALF Network. Through these efforts, ATTACTUS can help further ALF’s objectives in Greece and contribute to building a more connected and inclusive Mediterranean region.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Joining the Anna Lindh Foundation Network would offer ATTACTUS valuable opportunities to enhance its mission of transforming artistic methods into non-formal learning. With extensive experience in youth work and training youth workers, particularly using performing arts as a tool for social inclusion, personal development, and community engagement, ATTACTUS could benefit from ALF's support in fostering creative expression and social awareness through participatory artistic experiences. ALF would provide platforms for networking and co-creation between artists, educators, and youth, allowing our organization to expand its reach and collaborate with organizations from the Euro-Mediterranean region. Additionally, taking part in ALF’s events and training programs would strengthen our work, while helping to foster intercultural dialogue, enhance our artistic offerings, and explore cross-border partnerships for innovation and growth. As an organization based in Greece, a country at the heart of the Euro-Mediterranean region, our work is deeply connected to the region's cultural richness and diversity. By promoting the arts, which inherently promote intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding, Attactus would be contributing to the Anna Lindh Foundation's broader mission of fostering peace and social cohesion.
