How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Bethlehem Development Foundation (BDF) has been working to revitalize the city of Bethlehem and support its sustainable development through multisectoral collaborations that have targeted various fields including infrastructure, environment, tourism, culture, economy, and children and women’s rights. So far, BDF's implemented projects have focused on environmental, cultural, and social issues. Currently, BDF is trying to expand its scope and implement projects related to Gender Equality. As stated on the 'Description of the modalities', "The ALF will prioritize project proposals with innovative approaches and oriented towards youth, gender equality...". Accordingly, networking, collaborations, and discussions with different people from the Mediterranean who may share similar social issues can help all of us find solutions and recommendations for our societies. Moreover, it can also facilitate future collaborations between different Arab countries.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

To best achieve its goals, BDF works closely with various stakeholders, local organizations, and international institutions. Therefore, BDF has built strong relationships with regional and international organizations including the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Arab Monitory Fund, the European Parliament, UNESCO, DFID, AFD, the Quartet, the World Bank and the Welfare Association. As BDF always looks for creating purposeful collaborations to achieve its sustainable projects, and as the program, "ALFinMOTION" introduces “Mobility For Partnership" modality, we are highly interested in developing our project proposals, collaborating with international partners, and engaging in joint brainstorming exercises. Lastly, we firmly believe that this will improve our foundation and help it implement its projects.
