Bizrupt.gr is a non-profit organization founded in 2017, focused on fostering social and economic impact through innovation and entrepreneurship. Based in Crete, Greece, Bizrupt operates a dedicated hub, Your Space, which serves as a collaborative environment for individuals, startups, and small businesses to connect, innovate, and grow.

The organization provides educational programs, mentoring, and access to resources that empower local communities to address pressing challenges and create sustainable solutions. Through partnerships with local and international stakeholders, Bizrupt builds a network that promotes creativity, inclusivity, and intercultural collaboration.

By nurturing a culture of innovation and supporting impactful initiatives, Bizrupt enables people to transform ideas into meaningful actions that benefit the community and contribute to a resilient and sustainable future in Crete and beyond.

Mission and Objectives

Bizrupt’s mission is to act as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship, empowering individuals, startups, and organizations to drive sustainable social and economic impact. By fostering collaboration, creativity, and growth, Bizrupt transforms ideas into action, supporting resilient and thriving communities in Crete and beyond.

Objectives
-Empower Communities: Provide individuals and organizations with tools, knowledge, and resources to address challenges and create sustainable solutions.
- Support Entrepreneurship: Offer mentorship, infrastructure, and networking opportunities to startups and small businesses to foster growth and resilience.
- Act as a Catalyst for Collaboration: Build robust networks of local, regional, and international stakeholders to drive impactful partnerships.
Promote Sustainable Development: Encourage initiatives that contribute to the environmental, social, and economic well-being of communities.
- Foster Creativity and Innovation: Inspire creative problem-solving through workshops, events, and collaborative learning opportunities.
- Strengthen Intercultural Dialogue: Facilitate understanding and cooperation across diverse cultures to build shared visions for a sustainable and equitable future.

Main Projects / Activities

Bizrupt has successfully executed several initiatives.
- Foundit (Discover Entrepreneurship program) helps unemployed or part-time young people in Crete and the Dodecanese region between 18 to 35 years old to launch or grow new enterprises.
- Get Hired Crete tackles unemployment by facilitating job searches, upskilling and establishing connections between young unemployed individuals and businesses.
- In the creative and cultural industries, the ReCCI Erasmus+ initiative skills and reskills people in these fields with digital and entrepreneurial competencies.
- MITOS program upskills young researchers providing them training for soft skills needed for technology transfer, support with mentoring and sharing practical knowledge to exploit their technology discoveries.
- GrowCrete is an incubator that supports green entrepreneurship in Crete by concentrating on rural areas with few prospects and establishing companies, which have a significant environmental impact and Crete's sustainable growth. The incubator offered upskilling of the participating teams and support for the implementation of green business ideas.

The outcomes of the above programs are the social impact of Bizrupt:
- Programs’ beneficiaries: 1131
- New businesses: 83
- 85% of the beneficiaries had a positive outcome in terms of employability and had success (employed, business launched, etc.)
