The vision of the "Civic Engagement Institute" is to foster civic engagement and promote solidarity, democratic values, the rule of law, and sustainable environmental, economic, and social development.

Mission and Objectives

The "Civic Engagement Institute" focuses its activities on the following key areas:
Advocacy, awareness-raising, and responses to gender issues;
Media education and addressing media-related concerns;
Organizing sports activities that promote social values and community well-being;
Encouraging sustainable development in climate, energy, environment, as well as economic and social aspects;
Promoting the values of the European Union and contributing to the facilitation of the EU accession process, alignment with, and implementation of EU policies;
Promoting cultural, artistic, traditional, creative, solidarity, and historical values;
Encouraging the involvement of youth, children, and civic activism within communities;
Raising awareness about mental, physical, and emotional health;
Enhancing capacities through training, professional development, and the adoption of best practices for civil society activities in social matters.

Main Projects / Activities

The Civic Engagement Institute (CEI) team has undertaken a diverse range of initiatives/ activities that align with its mission to foster civic engagement and sustainable development across various domains. One of its flagship initiatives focuses on raising awareness about gender equality and empowering women in underserved communities. Also, implemented the project Think Before You Click on media literacy campaign, designed to combat misinformation and foster critical thinking in media consumption. CEI is dedicated to preserving and celebrating cultural heritage through its Tradition in Action initiative. This project organizes cultural festivals featuring traditional music, dance, and crafts, collaborates with artists to create public murals celebrating local history, and develops digital archives of oral histories and traditions. These activities ensure that cultural heritage remains a vibrant and integral part of community life.
