Main long-term strategic partners include:
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Azhar University, The Egyptian Family House, the Coptic Orthodox Church, The Coptic Catholic Church, the Anglican Diocese of Egypt, Misr El Kheir Foundation, and Rose Castle Foundation.

Ongoing projects include:
1. "Learning Journey": a unique series of conferences CCMUP organizes in partnership with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Coptic, Catholic & Anglican Churches. The aim is to advance interfaith understanding and friendship by bringing together young students and leaders of Christian and Islamic theology to learn about each other from one another over the course of 3 or 4 days, to freely discuss religion and public life in a safe space without redlines or censorship, but based on mutual respect and tolerance. Program includes seminars, informal discussion time, as well as the sharing of breakfast and lunch together.
To our knowledge, such a conference is unprecedented in Egypt's modern history. We have organized 4 Journeys of Learning, since 2023, and planning its long-term continuation, thanks to the overwhelming positive feedback received.

2. Training teams on peace-building and conflict resolution, with various partners, targeting areas with a notable historical record of sectarian tensions such as in El-Minya, Alexandria, Cairo & Menouf.

3. Organizing public seminars discussing interfaith related subjects.

Mission and Objectives

Our Vision:
The Centre of Christian-Muslim Understanding and Partnership (CCMUP) envisions an Egypt where people of all faiths and cultural backgrounds live together in genuine and just peace, bound by profound mutual understanding, shared respect, and active cooperation for the common good.

Our Mission:
CCMUP is committed to promoting interfaith and intercultural understanding, peacebuilding, and community service across Egypt and beyond. Through education, dialogue, and collaborative grassroots initiatives, our mission is to equip individuals and communities to overcome religious and cultural divides, resolve conflicts peacefully, and unite in service of the common good; building a more just, compassionate, and harmonious society, within Egypt and beyond.

Main Projects / Activities

To realize our vision and mission, CCMUP implements a range of strategic initiatives across three core areas:

1. Academic Workshops
We offer educational programs in Christian and Islamic studies, equipping current and future faith leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to build interfaith peace, by organizing public seminars and its "Learning Journey": a unique series of conferences CCMUP organizes in partnership with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Coptic, Catholic & Anglican Churches.

2. Community Engagement
We organize grassroots projects and workshops community members to foster practical interfaith cooperation, strengthen local communities, and build lasting, friendly interfaith relationships, by addressing common public challenges such as environmental degradation.

3. Peace-building & Conflict Resolution
We provide training in interfaith and intercultural dialogue, reconciliation, and peacebuilding techniques, empowering individuals to become agents of harmony and understanding.
Currently, we're carrying out peace-building and conflict resolution projects in El Menya, Cairo, Alexandria, Menouf and Luxor.

We also aim to deploy trained teams to regions affected by, or at risk of, sectarian conflict. These teams implement peacebuilding activities that promote healing, prevent escalation, and support long-term reconciliation.
