The Democritus University of Thrace Model United Nations Society(DUTHMUN Society) is a non-governmental organization founded by a group of law and political sciences students in 2024.
Mission and Objectives
Our missions and objectives are to promote international relations and international law amongst students at the region of Thrace. The means to accomplish these goals are the simulations of Model United Nations, with the aim of familiarizing our members with international organizations and their decision making processes. To achieve this, we organize weekly training sessions to enhance our members skills on research, public speaking, networking etc. we also organize and host our own conference, called “Thracing on MIC”, with a specific focus on crisis management on an international scale. We also host seminars and academic panels on the aforementioned fields of interest.
Main Projects / Activities
Focus on Model United Nations and International Law/Relations
-Hosting the annual MUN conference “Thracing on MIC”
- Organizing group delegations for similar conferences in Greece and abroad

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We can contribute by connecting our pool of friends eager members with the ALF network. Particularly, our members can support the networks projects in all ways, both in organization and in academic participation. We can also serve as a focal point of the network for the region of Thrace.

Firstly we truly admire the work done by the ALF. We believe that a cooperation between the ALF and our society can be very useful for both our organizations. From our part, we are eager and determined to contribute with any means necessary and possible.
