Echoes Cooperation is a youth-led, non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Italy, operating through an international volunteer- based ecosystem of young professionals, volunteers, researchers, students, and community actors across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the MENA region. The organization is structured through regional and thematic teams supported by central units dedicated to communication, external relations, and project management. Echoes Cooperation currently involves a growing network of volunteers, project coordinators, experts, and institutional partners collaborating on educational, cultural, and international cooperation initiatives.
The organization designs and implements projects, workshops, seminars, youth exchanges, public dialogues, advocacy campaigns, and international mobility activities focused on sustainable development, intercultural dialogue, peacebuilding, education, innovation, and youth participation. Echoes Cooperation collaborates with universities, civil society organizations, local authorities, international networks, and youth organizations, fostering long-term partnerships and inclusive community engagement across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Its activities are mainly carried out through volunteer engagement, international cooperation projects, and partnerships with academic institutions, NGOs, local authorities, and private sector stakeholders. The organization annually coordinates and contributes to multiple international and local initiatives promoting intercultural dialogue, active citizenship, and youth empowerment.
Mission and Objectives
Echoes Cooperation’s mission is to connect and empower young people through intercultural dialogue, international cooperation, and youth-led participation, fostering inclusive and sustainable societies across the Euro-Mediterranean region and beyond. The organization aims to create meaningful opportunities for young people to engage actively in social, cultural, educational, and policy-related initiatives while strengthening collaboration between civil society, academic institutions, public authorities, and local communities.
Its objectives include promoting intercultural understanding and mutual respect among diverse communities; supporting youth participation in democratic and civic life; encouraging education, capacity-building, and lifelong learning opportunities; and fostering cooperation on global challenges such as sustainability, peacebuilding, social inclusion, human rights, and innovation.
Particular attention is dedicated to Euro-Mediterranean cooperation through the organization’s specialised MENA team, which works on initiatives connecting young people and stakeholders from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Through this regional focus, Echoes Cooperation promotes dialogue, mobility, mutual learning, and long-term partnerships addressing shared regional challenges and fostering inclusive participation across the Mediterranean area.
Echoes Cooperation also works to strengthen the role of young people as active changemakers by developing projects, workshops, exchanges, public events, advocacy initiatives, and international mobility activities that encourage dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative problem-solving. Through its international network and partnerships, the organization seeks to bridge local and global perspectives, contributing to a more connected, peaceful, and participatory Euro-Mediterranean community.
Main Projects / Activities
Youth-led International Cooperation Projects: Design and implementation of Erasmus+ youth projects, international exchanges, and non-formal education activities promoting active citizenship, wellbeing, sustainability, and intercultural dialogue.
Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue and MENA Cooperation: series of initiatives through the specialised MENA team aimed at strengthening cooperation, youth participation, and intercultural understanding between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Conferences, Workshops and Public Events: Development of thematic events, seminars, policy dialogues, and workshops on sustainability, peacebuilding, education, youth diplomacy, innovation, and social inclusion, involving universities, institutions, NGOs, and local communities.
Capacity Building and Youth Empowerment: Training activities and networking opportunities supporting young people, students, and young professionals in developing leadership, project management, advocacy, and intercultural communication skills.
Partnership Building and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaboration with universities, civil society organizations, local authorities, businesses, and international partners to develop joint initiatives and foster long-term cooperation.

Eat, Play, Live! (Erasmus+ KA152-YOU, 2025–2026) promoting healthy and sustainable lifestyles among young people.
Educating for Peace: Youth, Participation and Activism focused on Youth, Peace and Security and democratic participation.
Society 5.0: Youth, Sustainability and Social Innovation exploring technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
SDGs Design Sprint in Beijing, promoting youth innovation and digital solutions for SMEs.
Venice for the Future: Sustainability and Human Rights dedicated to climate justice, human rights, and youth engagement.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Echoes Cooperation can contribute to the Anna Lindh Foundation Network in Italy by strengthening youth participation and intercultural dialogue through its extensive network of young professionals, volunteers, universities, and civil society partners operating at local, national, and international level.
The organization can actively support the Network by organizing and co-hosting conferences, workshops, intercultural exchanges, training activities, and public dialogue initiatives focused on youth engagement, peacebuilding, sustainability, education, and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. Thanks to its experience in creating inclusive and participatory spaces, Echoes Cooperation can facilitate connections between young people, institutions, NGOs, and local communities, particularly engaging audiences that are often less represented in international cooperation activities.
Through its specialised MENA team and international partnerships, Echoes Cooperation can also contribute to strengthening cooperation between Italian and Southern Mediterranean organizations, promoting mutual understanding, mobility opportunities, and long-term collaboration across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
In addition, the organization can support the visibility and outreach of the Network in Italy through its communication channels, youth-led initiatives, and collaborations with universities and local stakeholders. Echoes Cooperation is committed to contributing actively to the exchange of good practices, joint project development, and the promotion of shared values such as inclusion, dialogue, solidarity, and active citizenship.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
Echoes Cooperation wishes to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network because we strongly share its mission of promoting intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, active citizenship, and cooperation across the Euro-Mediterranean region. As a youth-led organization working with young people, universities, civil society organizations, and local communities, we believe that creating inclusive spaces for dialogue and collaboration is essential to addressing today’s social, cultural, and global challenges.
Joining the ALF Network would allow us to connect with organizations that share similar values and objectives, while strengthening opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint project development. We are particularly interested in contributing to initiatives focused on youth participation, education, intercultural exchange, sustainability, and community engagement.
We also see the Network as an important platform to amplify the impact of grassroots initiatives and foster stronger cooperation between local and international actors. Through our experience in organizing educational activities, public events, workshops, and international cooperation projects, we aim to actively contribute to the exchange of good practices and to the development of inclusive and participatory initiatives involving young people and local communities.
By becoming part of the Anna Lindh Foundation Network, Echoes Cooperation hopes to further strengthen its international partnerships, expand its outreach, and contribute actively to building a more connected, inclusive, and dialogue-oriented Euro-Mediterranean community.
