IKV was founded in 1965 by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Chamber of Industry. IKV consists of 10 researchers specialised in EU acquis chapters. IKV also has a Permanent Representation in Brussels. IKV is fully financed by the private sector. IKV publishes studies, implements projects (some in cooperation with the European Commission) and carries out training and informative seminars. Also, promotion and lobbying activities are included.Mission and Objectives
IKV's mission is to facilitate and accelerate Turkey's EU membership process and ensure active participation of the Turkish business world and civil society in this process.Main Projects / Activities
"Turkey's EU Accession Negotiations Process Seminars" Informative seminars in various Turkish cities about the accession process targeting the business world and the wider public. "Horizontal Effects of the Implementation of the EU Acquis on Leading Turkish Business Sectors" project carried out under EU civil society dialogue programme. Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) project: to strengthen the impact assessment capacity of the business world. Various seminars were organized on visa problem and Turkey-EU relations. Forthcoming activities on target groups such as women and children.
