Main Projects / Activities
Eduxo’s initiatives are centered around two flagship campaigns: YouthPowerEU (on youth political engagement into decision-making processes for a more dynamic, equitable and representative democracy. Its primary goal is to advocate for a reform of minimum candidacy age in Italy and in Greece, and in general to a change of legal framework in the European Parliament for youth political participation). We have organised and we are organising events in Italy, Belgium and Greece. Loveducation (that focuses on raising awareness and educating the public on gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, emotional and sexual education. Its primary goal is to advocate for a draft law that establishes a comprehensive national program on emotional and sexual education, aligning Italy’s school curriculum with European standards and addressing the current educational gaps). Thanks to the Loveducation we have organise dozens of trainings, workshops and events in Europe, including at the European Youth Centre in Budapest, and in Poland during the EUMANS Congress, but also in Italy and Belgium. The biggest event was an EU-Funded 10 days National festival on affectivity and sexuality called "Amore in Mostra" and an yearly artistic contest for children and teenagers on Love across pandemic, and Love across Wars. The last edition was in 2024.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
EDUXO Italia APS is committed to enhancing civil society through active engagement in critical social issues, making us a valuable contributor to the Anna Lindh Foundations’s Network in Italy. We will bring our expertise in intercultural dialogue, human rights advocacy, and education to the Network, fostering collaboration among diverse organizations and stakeholders. Our ongoing campaigns, such as YouthPowerEU and Loveducation, emphasize the importance of youth participation and gender equality, aligning with your Foundation’s goals of promoting dialogue and understanding. We aim to strengthen local networks and facilitate cross-border partnerships at national and international level that promote shared values of democracy, sustainability, and social inclusion, by sharing our best practices and innovative approaches throughout the lesense of young people and active citizens. With over 50 volunteers across Italy, as well as in Belgium and Spain, we aim to engage local communities and foster synergy throughout young Italians. EDUXO seeks to raise awareness of these issues widely in our country, working to break down cultural barriers and improve access to education and political participation that often exists in our society. Additionally, we aim to address these topics within the Italian communities abroad, reinforcing a sense of community abroad that can sometimes be lost. Through our YouthPowerEU campaign, we emphasize the importance of political participation and active citizenship for all young people, who often represent a vulnerable and underrepresented segment of our political landscape. Our focus on capacity-building initiatives, community development projects, and research-based advocacy aims to further enhance the Network’s efforts to address contemporary challenges in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
Joining the Anna Lindh Foundation Network strongly aligns with EDUXO’s mission to foster cultural awareness and promote human rights through education and advocacy. We believe that being part of this network will provide us with fundamental resources, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and collaborative platforms that can amplify our impact. We always find beneficial and enlightening engaging with organizations who share our same values and similar objectives. We believe that this membership will allow us to exchange ideas and best practices, essentially enhancing our projects and outreach efforts, as well as bringing our knowledge and expertise to the Network. Additionally, our commitment to addressing critical issues such as youth political participation and community engagement, particularly through our #YouthPowerEU and #Loveducation campaigns resonate with the Foundation’s objectives. We are eager to collaborate with other organizations to ensure that the voices of underrepresented youth are heard and that communities in Italy, as well as those in Belgium and Spain, feel connected and supported. The ALF Network’s focus on intercultural dialogue aligns with our goals, and we are excited about the possibility of joint initiatives that promote understanding and cooperation across cultures in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Our #Loveducation campaign is dedicated to promoting comprehensive education on emotional and sexual health, advocating for a national program that aligns with European standards and addresses existing educational gaps. By engaging experts from diverse fields, we strive to provide scientifically accurate and culturally relevant content that encourages open dialogue on often overlooked subjects. We aim to exchange best practices and insights with other organisations, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance our collective efforts in addressing these critical issues. As EDUXO, we also develop resources such as publications, events, and workshops to raise awareness around these important topics – not only for our members but also for our broader network and the general public. We aim to expand our resources, engage with similar organizations, and foster peer-to-peer dialogue to both learn from others and share what we have to offer as a youth organization and movement. By collaborating within the ALF Network, we hope to enhance our impact and promote a richer understanding of these crucial issues across diverse communities.
