EGInA designs and manages EU-funded education, innovation and social inclusion actions. It combines an internal core team (management, project design/management, administration & finance, quality, communication, and mobility services) with external experts; permanent staff grew from 2 employees in 2019 to 16 in 2025. Annual resources come mainly from contracts and EU programmes: in 2024, EGInA recorded €3.20 million in revenues, sustaining operations and investment. EGInA acts through concrete projects and capacity-building for schools, VET and adult/youth education; Erasmus+ mobility as coordinator or service provider (1,664 mobilities managed in 2024) and hosting scholarships (267 Erasmus+ beneficiaries hosted in 2024); trainings, seminars and community events such as Social Hackathon Umbria (www.socialhackathonumbria.info) and local innovation labs. Key partners include European networks like All Digital, EAEA and EfVET, national bodies such as Stati Generali dell’Innovazione, and local ecosystems including CRHACK LAB Foligno 4D.
Mission and Objectives
EGInA’s mission is to design and deliver training interventions and initiatives that respond to community needs, foster cultural exchange and cohesion, and leverage innovation processes to contribute to the transformative change of society. EGInA aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning for all, with particular attention to people living in disadvantaged conditions or at risk of exclusion.
Main Projects / Activities
EGInA’s main activities cluster into four integrated areas:
- Qualified training and capacity-building: design and delivery of funded or paid learning pathways (for schools, VET, adults and professionals), including workshops, masterclasses and summer schools.
- European project design and management (technical assistance): scanning opportunities and calls, writing proposals, coordinating implementation, monitoring deadlines/budgets, administrative reporting and financial management, plus communication/dissemination to maximise impact.
- Transnational mobility services: intermediation for sending and hosting—partner matching with schools/companies abroad, travel and accommodation booking, documentation support, and remote/on-site tutoring.
- Events, communication and innovation labs: organisation of hackathons, seminars, community events and fairs; development of digital/creative labs for co-design, content production, prototyping and STEAM activities.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
EGInA can contribute to the Anna Lindh Foundation Network in Italy as a practical implementation partner, transforming Euro-Mediterranean dialogue priorities into concrete programmes and local impact. Building on its mission to foster cultural exchange, social cohesion and transformative change, EGInA can host and co-organise intercultural dialogue activities in Umbria (seminars, youth labs, community events, creative and participatory formats) and offer a stable physical venue through its training rooms, labs and event spaces. EGInA can also co-design and coordinate Euro-Med projects aligned with ALF Italy’s thematic priorities, and provide strong technical support in proposal writing, project management, monitoring and dissemination. With extensive experience in exchanges and mobility, EGInA can facilitate study visits, job-shadowing and training weeks for youth, educators and civil society actors, leveraging its large-scale mobility coordination capacity. Finally, EGInA can mobilise young people through flagship initiatives such as social hackathons to generate solutions on shared Euro-Med challenges, while strengthening ALF Italy’s outreach through communication and storytelling tools.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
We want to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network because it offers a unique, values-driven space to turn intercultural dialogue into sustained cooperation across the Euro-Mediterranean region. EGInA has built strong expertise in designing and managing international education, youth and social-innovation initiatives (largely within EU frameworks) and we are now keen to expand the scope of our work beyond the European Union, developing more structured partnerships and long-term programmes with organisations and communities across the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean.
By joining ALF, we aim to connect with a trusted network of civil society actors, learn from diverse local perspectives, and co-create initiatives that promote mutual understanding, inclusion and social cohesion. We also want to contribute practical capacities to the Network: hosting and convening dialogue activities and youth labs in Italy, supporting project development and implementation, enabling exchanges and study visits, and amplifying impact through communication and dissemination. Ultimately, ALF membership would help EGInA move from occasional international collaborations to a coherent Euro-Med strategy, grounded in dialogue and jointly delivered with partners on both shores of the Mediterranean.
