How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

As most of the people in the world love cinema, but not necessarily know a lot about it, EFCA played since its establishment in 1972 a vital role in promoting the film culture of Egypt, not only among its film critics members, but also between thousands of film lovers, normal audience, and ambitious filmmakers who benefited the EFCA activities and facilities to gain more knowledge and understanding of cinema. We can extend this mission to the other members of the network in our country.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We are trying to strengthen our tied with other active NGOs both in Egypt and around the world. Based on the new status gained by electing our EFCA president Ahmed Shawky as the president of the International Film Critics Federation (FIPRESCI), to be the first non- European / non-American president of the federation that was established in 1925, EFCA is working in extending its network of collaborating partners. Being part of the ALF network will be a golden opportunity for us to achieve this goal.
