Formally known as El Takeiba for artistic and cultural development , unofficial organization lunch was in 1997 , then formally established in 2010. Mainly worked with unprivileged individuals including children, women and youth using art as a medium for raising awareness for many issues like inequality, social exclusion , sexual health and education , women's rights and education.We officially went on hiatus in 2019 given the changes in development organization legislation in Egypt . Now we are re opening as El Takeiba for art and culture and looking forward for collaborations again with peer organizations, companies and individuals.
Mission and Objectives
Mission:
Using art and culture as tools to raise awareness about different issues such as inequality, social exclusion , sexual health and education , womens' rights and education .
Objectives:
- reviving traditional culture practices and utilizing them for strengthening intercultural relations
- Seeking collaborations locally and internationally on using creative art practices for raising awareness on issues such as social exclusion, inequality , woman's rights , sexual health and education.
- fostering a space for artists for creating and finding experimental methods for art and culture development, to be applied mainly in
vulnerable and underprivileged areas.

Main Projects / Activities
.Under development projects on including traditional and folk cultural elements in art and cultural projects including : story telling , simulations, photography , Films , creative writing and anthropology.
