General Information

Emam for Culture and Development, established in 2013, is a youth-led organization based in Egypt’s Nile Delta region, dedicated to empowering local communities, farmers, and marginalized groups to address critical environmental and social challenges. As the only NGO actively serving this vulnerable region, Emam focuses on urgent issues such as desertification, land degradation, food security, and climate resilience. Through sustainable agriculture practices and inclusive community development initiatives, Emam works to create meaningful, lasting impact, enhancing the region’s resilience to environmental threats and supporting the well-being of its communities.

Mission and Objectives

Main Projects / Activities

VSL initiative which helps youth in Egypt to learn Data Science and Data analysis
Climate Rangers which aim to tach youth about the Climate Diplomacy
Fruit Projct was launched in 2015 as a long-term initiative aimed at empowering Egyptian farmers in the Nile Delta with sustainable agricultural practices

Our organization will contribute to the Anna Lindh Network by promoting intercultural dialogue through community initiatives, workshops, and collaborative projects with other member organizations. By fostering mutual understanding and sharing best practices, we aim to enhance the network's impact locally and support its broader mission.
