Ephemera Collective is a Cyprus-based non-profit collective founded in 2025, working through art, community, and ecology. We create contexts for thinking, making, and learning together, through long-term projects that connect cultural practice, ecological attention, and forms of community life. Our current team is entirely voluntary, with no staff employed at the moment. Our annual budgetary resources are minimal, around EUR 5,000 per year, as we are still in the early stages of development. At this point, we are applying to Erasmus+ and CERV projects in order to build our first structured activities and strengthen our long-term sustainability. We expect our first projects to be granted in 2027. Our work is grounded in care, horizontality, and situated knowledge, and we are developing a cultural hub in Analyontas that brings together artistic experimentation, cultivation, and collective living.
Mission and Objectives
Ephemera Collective is a Cyprus-based collective working through art, community, and ecology. Our mission is to create spaces for thinking, making, and learning together through long-term, collaborative projects that connect cultural practice, ecological attention, and forms of community life.
Our objectives are to support artistic and social processes that are grounded in care, horizontality, and situated knowledge. We aim to foster dialogue across different disciplines and communities, strengthen practices of social inclusion and gender equality, and develop forms of cultural work that remain connected to lived experience, place, and interdependence
Main Projects / Activities
Our work includes the annual production of a zine, which functions as a space for artistic research, collective reflection, and community distribution. We also develop long-term projects and collaborations, and we are building a cultural hub in Analyontas that brings together artistic experimentation, cultivation, and collective living.
Alongside these activities, we share knowledge gathered through practice in gender equality, social inclusion, project management, and organizational development. This part of our work supports both our own projects and the work of partners through content development, process design, and collaborative methodologies.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Ephemera can contribute to the Network in Cyprus by connecting artistic practice with community-based and ecological approaches, and by supporting spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning. We can contribute through cultural programming, participatory methods, and exchanges that link art, inclusion, and community development.
We also bring experience in organizing collective processes, developing content, and working across disciplines and contexts. Through our ongoing work in Cyprus and our collaborations with partners, we can help strengthen links between local initiatives and wider Mediterranean and European conversations.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
We want to join the ALF Network because we value transnational exchange, dialogue across cultures, and collaborative work grounded in care and mutual learning. The Network resonates with our interest in creating spaces where different voices, experiences, and forms of knowledge can meet without being arranged too quickly into hierarchy.
