General Information

EUROSUD is a non-profit youth organisation based in Triggiano, in the Puglia region of southern Italy. It is committed to promoting social inclusion, active citizenship, and non-formal education for young people. The organisation operates at local, national, and international levels through European projects, educational programmes, and volunteering opportunities that foster youth participation, personal growth, and community development.

The association aims to improve the quality of life of young people and other vulnerable groups such as women, the unemployed, people with disabilities, and the elderly. It supports community development through capacity building, empowerment, and the creation of partnerships between the non-profit, public, and private sectors. Its overarching vision is to strengthen civil society and promote cooperation for a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Mission and Objectives

EUROSUD’s mission is to empower young people and support the development of inclusive, participatory, and sustainable communities. The organisation works to promote social cohesion, civic engagement, and intercultural understanding through education, volunteering, creativity, and European cooperation.
Its activities aim to improve the quality of life of young people and other vulnerable groups—such as women, people with disabilities, migrants, and the unemployed—by providing them with opportunities for learning, mobility, and active participation in society.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Local multiplier and outreach in Puglia / Southern Italy
EUROSUD is deeply rooted in the Puglia region (southern Italy) and works with young people, vulnerable groups and organisations across local municipalities and community networks. This gives the Network a strong actor on the ground who can disseminate ALF’s values of intercultural dialogue, youth participation and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in a region that might need more visibility of these concepts. Through EUROSUD’s language courses, youth programmes, and non-formal education activities, ALF’s messages and opportunities can reach new audiences.
Bridging youth work and intercultural dialogue
EUROSUD’s experience in youth work, mobility programmes (e.g., exchanges, volunteering), inclusion, and non-formal education aligns well with ALF’s thematic priorities (“Education & Youth”, “Culture & Arts”, “Media”, inter-religious / intercultural dialogue)

By integrating ALF-themes into its regular youth activities (workshops, radio podcasts, inclusion projects), EUROSUD can design and implement joint actions across the network. This strengthens ALF’s impact while grounding it in concrete youth work.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

EUROSUD wishes to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network to strengthen its contribution to intercultural dialogue, civic participation, and cooperation across the Euro-Mediterranean region. The organisation shares the Foundation’s vision of building inclusive societies based on mutual understanding, respect for diversity, and active citizenship.
As an NGO working daily with young people, migrants, and vulnerable groups in southern Italy, EUROSUD recognises the importance of connecting local community action with wider Mediterranean cooperation.
By joining the ALF Network, EUROSUD aims to act as a bridge between local communities in Puglia and Mediterranean partners, helping to transform the values of solidarity, diversity, and cooperation into tangible actions that foster peace and mutual understanding.
