General Information

The Catalan Fund for Development Cooperation (FCCD) is an association comprising more than 321 local and regional authorities committed to development cooperation and international solidarity from Catalonia. The FCCD has over 37 years of expertise in the field of international cooperation and solidarity, through networking and collaboration with Catalan municipalities. The organization is structured in thematic & operational areas, and has a total of 23 staff employed. Its sources of funding are the budget from municipalities; Catalan Government, multilateral agencies of development, and the European Union. The main modalities of action include the deployment of development cooperation projects in the field of refugee inclusion, human rights defense; support to forcedly displaced people, enviornment protection and the social inclusion of socially excluded groups; mainly operating in Subsaharian Africa (Senegal, Gambia), the Mediterranean (Morocco), Latin America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras), and the Middle East (Lebanon, Syria), and Balkands (Greece, Bosnia, Serbia), always with the involvement of partner municipalities.
