Future Buds Creativity Association (FBCA) is a Lebanese civil society organisation established in 2011, dedicated to youth empowerment, community resilience, and inclusive social development. The association works closely with local communities — particularly youth, women, and vulnerable groups — to enhance their participation in economic, environmental, and civic life.
FBCA adopts participatory and intercultural approaches in its programmes, fostering dialogue between diverse social groups and strengthening cooperation between civil society actors and local stakeholders. Through capacity-building initiatives, community engagement activities, and collaborative partnerships, the organisation contributes to social cohesion and inclusive governance at the local level.
In recent years, FBCA has increasingly engaged in initiatives that support sustainable development, environmental awareness, and community-based resilience strategies. The association promotes knowledge exchange between practitioners, youth, and decision-makers to ensure that grassroots perspectives inform policy discussions.
Within the framework of this proposed research, FBCA will facilitate stakeholder consultations, community dialogues, and the organisation of the Academic Dialogue event, ensuring that policy recommendations are grounded in local realities and reflect diverse community voices.
Mission and Objectives
Future Buds Creativity Association (FBCA) is committed to empowering youth, women, and vulnerable communities in Lebanon through inclusive, participatory, and community-driven initiatives. The association works to strengthen social cohesion, foster intercultural dialogue, and promote sustainable development by enhancing local capacities, encouraging civic engagement, and supporting innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges.
FBCA seeks to build resilient communities where diversity is valued, youth voices are heard, and local knowledge contributes meaningfully to inclusive governance and sustainable growth.
Objectives
Youth Empowerment and Participation
To strengthen the capacities of young people — particularly young women — to actively engage in social, economic, and civic life and participate in decision-making processes.
Community Resilience and Social Cohesion
To promote dialogue, mutual understanding, and collaboration among diverse social groups, fostering inclusive and peaceful communities.
Capacity Building and Skills Development
To provide training, mentorship, and practical learning opportunities that enhance employability, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills.
Sustainable Development and Environmental Awareness
To promote sustainable practices, environmental responsibility, and community-based approaches to climate resilience and green transition initiatives.
Civil Society and Local Governance Cooperation
To strengthen collaboration between civil society organisations, local authorities, and community stakeholders to ensure inclusive governance and evidence-informed policy dialogue.
Knowledge Exchange and Innovation
To facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices at local and regional levels, contributing to policy discussions within the Euro-Mediterranean space.
Main Projects / Activities
Future Buds Creativity Association (FBCA) implements community-based initiatives focused on youth empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable development. Its main activities include:
1. Youth Capacity-Building and Leadership Development
FBCA organises training programmes, workshops, and mentoring initiatives aimed at strengthening youth leadership, civic engagement, and employability skills. These programmes enhance young people’s participation in local decision-making processes and community development initiatives.
2. Community Engagement and Social Cohesion Activities
The association facilitates dialogue sessions, cultural initiatives, and participatory community events that promote mutual understanding, intercultural exchange, and collaboration among diverse social groups. These activities aim to foster inclusive governance and peaceful coexistence.
3. Women Empowerment and Skills Development
FBCA supports women and young women through practical skills training and entrepreneurship-oriented programmes, enhancing economic participation and financial independence in vulnerable communities.
4. Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Development Initiatives
The organisation promotes environmental responsibility and community resilience through awareness campaigns and local initiatives addressing sustainability, climate adaptation, and resource efficiency. FBCA supports grassroots approaches that integrate local knowledge into sustainable development practices.
5. Civil Society Cooperation and Stakeholder Dialogue

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Future Buds Creativity Association (FBCA) will actively contribute to the ALF National Network in Lebanon by strengthening knowledge exchange, facilitating dialogue platforms, and promoting evidence-based discussions on sustainable development and inclusive governance.
Through the proposed research and subsequent Academic Dialogue, FBCA will engage youth groups, civil society actors, and local stakeholders in policy-oriented conversations related to the green transition and community resilience. The association will disseminate research findings within the network and encourage peer learning among member organisations.
FBCA can further contribute by:
Organising thematic dialogue sessions and workshops aligned with ALF priorities.
Facilitating collaboration between grassroots actors and academic or policy stakeholders.
Sharing field-based insights and good practices from community-level initiatives.
Promoting youth participation and intercultural approaches in sustainability-related discussions.
By bridging local experiences with regional debates, FBCA aims to support the Lebanese ALF Network in enhancing its role as a platform for intercultural dialogue, social cohesion, and inclusive policy engagement within the Euro-Mediterranean space.
