General Information

We are a non-governmental organization (NGO) that was founded by and works for young people.
The Developing Generation Association is based on a volunteer social initiative started in 2021 by international relations students studying at different universities. This social initiative quickly became a community that mobilized the participation, solidarity, and productivity of young people. In this volunteer-run process, we reached over 600 young people from different cities by organizing 15 local trainings, more than 30 online events, and various workshops. We developed collaborations with local youth councils, municipalities, university clubs, private sector representatives, and foundations. Thus, we contributed not only to the individual development of young people but also to their more active participation in decision-making processes at the local and national levels.
In 2025, this volunteer initiative became institutionalized as an official association based in Bursa, aiming to reach wider audiences and achieve social impact at the international and European levels. Our association continues its work with a strong local network of young volunteers. Operating with a "from youth to youth" approach, the Developing Generation Association designs and implements its projects with the direct participation of young people. In this respect, it has adopted the understanding of "by youth, for youth," which is the fundamental principle of Erasmus+ Youth Participation Activities. Our work focuses on young people aged 18-35. However, women, disadvantaged individuals, immigrant youth, and young people living in rural areas are also priority beneficiaries of our activities. Our regularly held youth forums, volunteer meetings, and online mentoring programs create learning and participation spaces where young people are constantly interacting.
