General Information

The Gender Equality in the Workplace Alliance is a subsidiary of the Macedonian E-Commerce Association, whose mission is to raise awareness about the importance of an inclusive culture, equality, and unlocking the powerful synergy between digitalization, e-commerce, and women.

Mission and Objectives

The Alliance is focused on creating an inclusive culture where both women and men are equally valued for their unique contributions to the workplace, which will create new ways, synergies, and platforms to address critical issues affecting the development of women in the workplace. The Gender Equality in the Workplace Alliance - GEA advocates for an inclusive culture, gender equality in the workplace, and unlocking the powerful synergy between digitalization, e-commerce, and women. GEA is part of the Commitment Makers of the Generation Equality Forum Action Coalitions: Technology and Innovation for Gender Equality and Feminist Movements & Leadership. How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

GEA's focused work on gender equality directly supports ALF's core values of equality, respect for diversity, inclusion, and confronting discrimination. GEA has specific data on gender inequality in North Macedonia, including employment rates, the gender pay gap, and the average working life difference between men and women. This data and GEA's expertise can provide valuable insights to the ALF Network in North Macedonia, helping to inform and strengthen initiatives related to equality and inclusion within the country. Additionally, GEA's engagement with the Macedonian E-Commerce Association, its partners, Advisory Board members, and its participation in the Generation Equality Forum Action Coalitions focused on Technology and Innovation and Feminist Movements can bring valuable connections and expertise to the ALF Network in North Macedonia.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

For Gender Equality Alliances (GEAs) in North Macedonia, joining the ALF Network offers a valuable opportunity to align with this vision, especially through shared work on gender dialogue and social justice. Membership enables GEAs to collaborate on cross-border projects, form strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, and enhance their visibility and impact on a regional scale.
