GTGC is a network of over 200 Leiden University researchers across disciplines and faculties.

Mission and Objectives

GTGC explores how innovative policies and governance arrangements can address global challenges in democratic, effective, fair, peaceful and sustainable ways.

Main Projects / Activities

GTGC has funded 20 seed projects on governing a variety of global challenges. We sponsor workshops, hold major international conferences, publish widely, and offer inputs to many global policy organisations in The Hague and further afield. For Leiden University's teaching programmes we have introduced new courses on governing a global world.
