We bring together news media and the young for the benefit of both through recognition, action and resources in ways that reinforce the role of rigorous journalism in a democracy. Founded in 2018, we are a fully volunteer global organization with nonprofit status in France and the United States.
Mission and Objectives
In an era when questionable journalism and falsehoods regularly assault the public, the act of rewarding and reinforcing good news media practice, amplifying journalistic youth voices and offering lessons about the worth of journalism itself can offer both hope for the public and examples for other news outlets to emulate. Such approaches are especially crucial when they involve these very young audiences who are forming their opinions about what to believe, whom to trust and what kind of citizens they will become
Main Projects / Activities
Global awards, media literacy and press freedom, support for teen journalists and for those who do journalism for children, resources to teach the worth of journalism to a democracy and the sometimes grave dangers to those sho do that work,
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
France is well-served by others in the activities we do in a global scale. We did create a model locally for a press club activity to give children a fun experience in being a journalist and had two of our global #DrawPeace4Ukraine activities with local children ( residents and Ukraine refugees)
