Global School Partnerships in an NGO and a member association for Danish schools. There is a board of 8 members and a secretariat with one fulltime employee. Member fees account for part of the finances but the association also receives funding for specific projects from various donors, currently EuropeAid and the DEMENA pool under the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme.Mission and Objectives
We assist Danish schools in establishing educational partnerships with schools in Africa, Asia and The Middle East. The aim is to strengthen the students' understanding of the global world they are part of - and their engagement in it.Main Projects / Activities
The main focus of Global School Partnerships is on school partnerships. We have had a partnership project involving schools in Jordan, Lebanon and Denmark where students engaged in online dialogue activities about different themes. We are currently running a similar programme involving schools in Palestine and schools in Denmark and several of our member schools have ongoing partnerships with schools in Egypt. How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Global Schools Partnerships is very well connected to the Danish educational sector and thereby able to connect other organizations to the Danish schools as well as provide insight into the educational system. Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
As an organization we would benefit from the sharing of knowledge within the network and also see it as a possibility to find new partners for coming projects.
