We work with children by engaging them in different types of activities such as language learning, and entertaining activities. We also engage them in activities that foster creativity and communication. Working with youth is also a priority. For us, young people are the future of our society. Our belief in Youth as the foundation of a society pushes us to launch a number of workshops that focus on training and guidance. We trained around 50 young people on languages, communicative and life skills in order to prepare them for the job market. We also teach them the value of citizenship hoping to reduce brain drain. Women issues are also included in our agenda, it is our main focus to train women on basic skills of running small businesses and corporations.
Mission and Objectives
With our project "bon-weekend", our objective is to reach as many villages and people as possible and deliver our services to them. we have served in Five villages in Ait hadi Commuity so far. the number of children who benefitted the "bon-weekend" is estimated to reach 500 hundred children. We aim to reach 1000 children from the rest of the villages in Ait Hadi community by 2026. The bon-weekend project is willing to expand to the rest of the Chichaoua province, particularly the villages which were hit by the 8th-September-2023 earthquake. In order to build a peaceful community, we train our beneficiaries on the the values of citizenship, respect, and tolerance. We want them to be aware of cultural diversity, and to respect it as a fundamental aspect of life. We offer opportunities for communication and cultural dialogue in order to challenge our biases and to eradicate all kinds of stereotypes.
Main Projects / Activities
"Bon-weekend" project for children entertainment in rural areas, which aims to engage 1000 childen from different villages in educational, creative, and entertaining activities. The project targets children that are neglected, and who do not have access to languages and extra-curricular activities.
"Eradication of violence against women in rural areas " is one of our projects which targets women in rural areas in order to cater for their social, economic, and personal needs. We noticed that women in our community have no access to education. For this reason, we considered the possibility of organising LITERACY campaigns to grand women access to basics in languages and the four skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking).
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
As an association operating in rural areas, we noticed that our community faces many challenges (illiteracy, violence, stereotypes, negative mentality...). That is why we took upon ourselves to bring some change and start this initiative. Our purpose is to attend to the needs of our community in terms of guidance, education, and engagement in voluntary work.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
To promote peace among different villages and eradicate all kinds of violence, to promote dialogue exchange and bridge the gap between different generations.
