Haneen Forum e.V. is a non-profit cultural association based in Dortmund and governed by a board consisting of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson, and a Treasurer. The organization operates through the active participation of choir members and volunteers who support the forum’s cultural and community initiatives.
Artistic activities are guided by a professional choir conductor and supported by external musicians and artistic trainers who contribute to rehearsals, workshops, and cultural productions.
Haneen Forum develops and implements community-based cultural initiatives including choir rehearsals, concerts, workshops, and intercultural artistic programs that encourage participation, dialogue, and cultural exchange.
Financial resources are primarily generated through membership contributions, complemented by modest project-based cultural funding from local programs in the Ruhr region.
Following its official registration in early 2026, Haneen Forum aims to strengthen its role as a cultural platform and a coordinating hub within the international Haneen choir network.

Haneen Forum e.V. is a cultural and community-based organization that connects women through music, cultural dialogue, and artistic collaboration. The organization promotes intercultural understanding, women’s empowerment, and social participation through collective singing, cultural projects, and artistic initiatives. Haneen Forum creates spaces where women from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly from migrant and refugee communities, can engage in artistic expression and build meaningful cultural connections.
Main Projects / Activities
Haneen Forum organizes women’s choir activities, intercultural concerts, cultural workshops, and community events that promote dialogue through music and artistic expression. The organization is part of the international Haneen Choir Network, connecting women’s choirs in several countries including Germany, Syria, Turkey, Sweden, Norway, Canada, and the United States. Activities include rehearsals, concerts, collaborative productions, and digital cultural exchanges.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Haneen Forum can contribute to the ALF Network by promoting intercultural dialogue through music, cultural participation, and community-based artistic initiatives. The organization works with women from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly within migrant and refugee communities, and creates inclusive spaces where music becomes a tool for dialogue and social connection.

Haneen Forum would like to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network to strengthen international cooperation in the field of intercultural dialogue and cultural participation. As a community-based cultural initiative, we believe that cultural exchange and artistic collaboration can play an important role in building bridges between societies.
By joining the ALF Network, we aim to exchange knowledge and experiences with other civil society organizations, develop collaborative cultural projects, and contribute to initiatives that promote dialogue, mutual understanding, and social cohesion across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
