Mission and Objectives

The main goal of Humanitas is to raise awareness of global interdependence and the role we as individuals play in the world by educating and informing about global challenges. By promoting solidarity, responsibility, justice, and respect for human rights, we aim to encourage people, especially young people, to become actively involved in both formal and informal contexts, and participate in shaping a society based on social and environmental justice.

Main Projects / Activities

Various EU and national projects focused on global education (training for teachers and other educators, workshops for students, developing teaching resources, training of global education trainers, raising awareness about global issues in schools and among general public, sponsorship of children and community projects in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Kenya etc. Since the very beginning of our organisation, we have collaborated with teachers and other educational workers in various ways. We closely cooperate with teachers and other educators, and in 2018 we established a Global Education Teachers Club - an informal space for teachers to meet, learn and share their experience in the field of Global education; this initiative was awarded by GENE for one of the most innovative practices of global learning in Europe.
