Imagine Realities is a social enterprise with three main members in it and external collaborators. We are active since 2 years doing podcasts and videos as well as organising local workshops in the region. We are registered for 1 year and 1 month and we are working on Erasmus+ funding applications by sending young people and youth workers from Portugal to other countries and we are networking with other entities to work on projects. These projects are mainly with collaborations with Greece, Norway and Slovakia and other European countries. Also we have been working with small local funds for example a 5 months project to create a set of 10 podcasts on the topic of cooperativism and its values.
Mission and Objectives
Imagine Realities was born from the dream of creating a space where people can explore new possibilities, dare to dream, and imagine a better world. We inspire reflection and change by fostering creativity, imagination, and connection — both with ourselves and with each other. Our cultural social enterprise focuses on non-formal education and content creation, from podcasts and videos to workshops, card games, and other learning opportunities. Our core team of three founders works with a network of freelance creators and facilitators.
Our main audience is young people seeking new educational or entrepreneurial paths and looking for a better future. Recently, we supported our first youth exchange, where participants co-created and implemented their own learning program with peers from other countries. At Imagine Realities, we believe in bringing out the best in every person through experiential learning and collective intelligence. We provide the tools, methods, and community spaces for people to try, learn, and grow together.
Our areas of action are:
- Non Formal Education
- Podcast and Visual Media Creation
- Creation of educational methodologies and tools
- Workshop design and implementation
- Organisation of social and cultural events and activities
Main Projects / Activities
Our work areas are visual media and podcast creation, sustainability, facilitation and workshop design.
In 2024, we successfully launched the first season of our podcast, which is based on philosophical discussions around “What if?” scenarios. The season has 9 episodes.
We started the second season of the podcast with the support of CASES, the entity that regulates social enterprises in Portugal. In 10 episodes, we aim to explore the notion of cooperativism and its values.
Additionally, we interview people from around Europe and the world to get their opinions on those topics, and we post dynamic reels on our Instagram page.
We've been developing a card game since October 2024 that aims to spark creativity and imagination individually while bringing people together through "What if" questions. Since then, this card game has gone through three iterations and will be commercialised at the end of the year.
We created stickers with thought-provoking “What If?” questions that we are leaving in several European cities to inspire people to think differently.
We sent our first participants to a Youth Exchange in Georgia in August 2025, Youth-Full Action KA152-YOU-CA3CB77E.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We would like to contribute to the Network by collaborating with the other members of the Network, creating synergies and projects together and hopefully creating a community that we can exchange good practices. In the national level we would like to connect with other entities in Portugal part of ALF network and collaborate.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
We would love to connect with organisations beyond Europe and contribute to the capacity building of our own organisation as well as supporting other organisations in the network with skills and capacities. Member of our organisation is part of Soliya community and also has been part of a training in Thessaloniki about human rights and combatting hate speech where ALF was a supporting organisation. As part of Soliya we are trained in online facilitation and coaching and would love to contribute with this skills to the network.
