The IDHUS Institute is a spanish think tank specialized in the study, analysis and in-depth understanding of the economic and geopolitical dynamics that shape society, with special focus on its implications for the development of humanity. Our main objective is to explore, understand and anticipate the directions in which society is evolving, addressing issues crucial to the human future from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Mission and Objectives
We were born with the aim of bringing a new, global and holistic vision to those issues that influence the development of our society, with the motivation to understand the world in which we live and what changes are constantly occurring in the structures that govern the society that we create together. We are therefore dedicated to researching the geo-economic and geopolitical changes that shape our world, providing clarity and guidance on the challenges and opportunities they generate.
In doing so, our mission is to provide analysis and a global vision to understand where humanity is evolving in our areas of work. We aim to inspire and guide leaders, communities and organizations in general to make informed, responsible and conscious decisions in the face of future challenges, offering a clear and prospective image of how and where we are evolving as a society, helping to build an inclusive, ethical and sustainable future.
Vision
In the long term, our vision is to be globally recognized as a reference in the understanding and anticipation of the social and human transformations produced by the geoeconomic and geopolitical changes that occur in our planet, contributing to the creation of a more conscious, adaptive and resilient society in the face of the future challenges that human beings face.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
As we live in times of accelerated transformation, where every economic, technological and political change is constantly shaping the course of human society, the IDHUS Institute is dedicated to exploring and answering a central question: Where is human society evolving to? To this end, we help in defining strategic areas that guide growth and development for all:
Geo-economic systems and dynamics and the evolution of financial structures
We study global economic flows, the redistribution of economic power between regions, trade patterns, value chains and the role of key actors such as transnational corporations or economic blocs. We also examine the evolution of international financial structures (central banks, monetary systems, investment, debt) and how they condition economic development, country stability and growth patterns.
Geopolitics, social organization, global structures that govern the functioning of society
In this field we analyze the power relations between states, regions and global institutions, as well as the conflicts, alliances and strategic dynamics that shape the international order. We also include the study of governance models, systems of power and control, and the social structures that influence global decision-making. We investigate how geopolitics impacts peace, security, human rights and social cohesion.
Demography, population change and natural resource use
In this area we focus on the study of population transformations - such as growth, aging, migration or changes in birth rates - and how these phenomena affect the distribution, availability and sustainability of natural resources (water, energy, soil, food, etc.). We also analyze the relationship between demographic dynamics and public policies, as well as their impact on human, environmental and economic development.
Our mission is to contribute multidisciplinary knowledge, anticipate challenges and opportunities, and facilitate the necessary dialogue to build a more inclusive, sustainable and conscious human future. We believe that understanding where human society is evolving in our areas of work is essential to act responsibly and effectively today in the face of tomorrow's challenges.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
