Established in 2006, ISSP is active in field of contemporary photography. We are organizing workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions, lectures and talks, and other education programmes and projects for young and emerging photographers in Latvia and internationally. ISSP is actively promoting international networking in photography.Mission and Objectives
ISSP works to offer high-quality alternative education for young photographers, and to encourage cross-border networking and exchange of ideas in the art of photography.Main Projects / Activities
ISSP (International Summer School of Photography) is a non-commercial education and networking platform for young photographers, in Latvia and internationally. Since its establishment in 2006, ISSP has yearly run the International Summer School of Photography, curated a number of exhibitions, produced 5 Catalogues, initiated related photo-education projects, and, most importantly, gathered an important community of young photographers in Latvia and internationally as well - our students and teachers come from over 25 countries. 2011 marked the launch of a year-long contemporary photography education programme in Riga.
