Mission and Objectives

Itinerari Paralleli ETS (IP ETS) is a non-profit private organisation that designs strategies of territorial and community development through cultural and social innovation. IP ETS was established to pursue civic, solidarity, and socially beneficial goals through territorial and community development. Specifically, the Association aims to promote civic activism, including through the direct involvement of communities in the areas where it operates. The organisation promotes the development of the social economy and the valorization of tangible and intangible cultural heritage with the aim of contributing to the impact of territories and communities. Itinerari Paralleli ETS has always emphasized participatory and co-design processes to promote the programming of its activities. Since its founding in 2012, the organization has been involved in social tourism, cultural regeneration, and multi-stakeholder engagement activities in Italy and abroad (particularly in the Mediterranean region). The organization began with exchange and cooperation activities between Italy and Tunisia during the years of democratic transition following the Arab Spring. It then developed knowledge itineraries both in Tunisia and in Campania, collaborating with projects to combat the Camorra and agro-mafias. Since 2014, it has continued to develop its expertise nationally with co-design and community development projects in Milan, Ravenna, and Naples, working alongside public administrations, private foundations, and third-sector organizations. Since 2018, with the concession of the Ex-Posta property in Casertavecchia, significant focus has been placed on developing cultural and social projects in the province of Caserta. With the creation and management of the community hub La Finestra, Itinerari Paralleli ETS is becoming a key player in the enhancement of the medieval village of Casertavecchia, the tourism offering, and the promotion of the Caserta area and its province.
