We are a creative and arts non-profit cultural organisation specialising in theatrical, visual and trabs-disciplinary methodologies for telling stories that move.
Mission and Objectives
We are a trans-disciplinary arts and cultural organisation whose main objective is to continuously develop artistic methodologies in the visual and performing arts to chronicle the unseen stories of our times, give voice to those who need it and use performance as both interrogation and problem solving process of questions that concern the lives and choices we make here and now.
Main Projects / Activities
De-marginalisation projects: Working with Romani people thtoughout Europe, exploring post colonial stories in Portugal, and queer stories from all over the world
Memory narratives: Exploring methods of co-creation of memory narratives with local communities- whether it be untold tales from the fascist era in Portugal, or the Soviet bloc, or Chile, or the Holocaust.
Incubate new playback theatre groups deploying theatre as an affirming force for promoting human rights
Actively using theatre to promote the performance of ideas- via our theatre of science initiative.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We can provide ideatic and organisational support as well as initiatives with in built local support to carry out proposals as well as increase impactful outreach and spot young people who can contribute to the cause
