Mission and Objectives
- friendship between Muslims and Jews (and others) in the Netherlands and beyond
- collaboration between Muslims and Jews
- peace building in Israel and Palestine through international collaborations / conferences / networks
- Giving women in Gaza (and Israel )leadership tools and connections to fight radicalism and promote peace.
Main Projects / Activities
Our organisation is a friendship group between Muslims and Jews in the Netherlands, but we welcome everyone from all backgrounds and from anywhere in the world. We currently do solidarity campaigns against antisemitism. We hold a weekly bookclub where we discuss books that can offer insights into peace in the Middle East. But we also believe the Netherlands can help with the peace process in Israel -Palestine, not just because the conflict has historically very much to do with antisemitism and the Holocaust in Europe, but also because Palestinians and Israeli's can't do it alone. They need friends that can offer them a helping hand. We are also representing Women Wage Peace in the Netherlands. And are building a network in Gaza to help empower women there. So our friendship group is quite organic and we do everything friends could do.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We would like to give your network a growing large audience that is interested in peace-work among the members of our group.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
To help our organisation gain more organisational credibility and trust. The ALF network is widely known around the world.
