Bitnamuun (represented by KUD Ponor - Art & Cultural Society Ponor, budgetary resources available in a year - approximately 1600,00 EUR, co-financed by JSKD/Public fund for cultural activities) is a group of 12 individuals who share an interest in modern dance and physical theatre. It was formed in 2006, when the group started working on the first independent project, performance 'Igrišče/Playground', which premiered in PTL/The Ljubljana Dance Theatre in June 2007, with three reruns. Followed by a two-in-one performance 'Oh, Janez, roza barva je za Barbike/Oh, John, pink is for Barbies' and '24 mož, 4 konji/24 men, 4 horses' in March and August 2008, Bitnamuun continued to explore physical relations and create with the guidance of mentors Jana Menger and Rosana Hribar. In October 2008, the group performed with the physical theatre group Fourklor in 'Glej ga zlomka!/Well, I never!' with seven reruns on various festivals.Mission and Objectives
The group's mission and objectives are comprehending different modern dance/physical theatre techniques, then using and applying them to further explore interpersonal physical relations/dialogue among the group with its diversity, as well as modern society in general, always trying to improve upon past projects.Main Projects / Activities
Currently the group is in the midst of finalizing the new project 'Kako (p)ostati človek?/How to be(come) human?' which is due in June 2009 and the premiere will take place in PTL/The Ljubljana Dance Theatre.
