The Larnaca Cultural Foundation for Children and Youth, founded in 2010, is a non-profit organisation based in Larnaka, Cyprus. It develops arts, cultural and educational programmes for children, young people and communities, promoting creativity, cultural participation, intercultural dialogue and social inclusion. The Foundation works with schools, municipalities, cultural organisations, the United Nations and other local and european partners, while supporting artists, educators and cultural professionals through training and international cooperation.
Mission and Objectives
To provide children and young people with opportunities to participate in arts, culture and lifelong learning. Promoting creativity as a tool for education, intercultural dialogue, cultural participation and social inclusion.

Promote access to arts and culture for children and young people.
Support creativity, active citizenship and lifelong learning through participatory arts.
Preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Cyprus through creative education.
Build the capacity of young artists, educators and cultural professionals.
Main Projects / Activities
Arts and cultural education for children and young people – Arts for All and Myths of Cyprus: Theatre & Paper, delivering creative workshops in schools and communities.
Participatory arts and community engagement – Carte PostArt, connecting children, schools and local communities through collaborative art, storytelling and cultural exchange.
Intercultural dialogue and peacebuilding – CARE Festival (Cyprus Arts and Education Festival) and activities implemented in partnership with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, bringing together children and young people from different communities through arts and cultural activities.
Cultural heritage education – LefkArt, introducing children and young people to the tradition of Lefkara lace through creative workshops and contemporary artistic practices.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We can contribute by connecting organisations, schools, municipalities and cultural institutions in Cyprus through collaborative cultural projects. We bring experience in arts education, intercultural dialogue, community engagement and capacity building for artists and educators. We are committed to sharing knowledge, hosting exchanges and developing partnerships that strengthen dialogue and cultural cooperation across the Mediterranean.

We would like to join the ALF Network to connect with organisations across the Euro-Mediterranean region that share a commitment to intercultural dialogue, cultural participation and community engagement. As a cultural foundation working with children, young people and local communities, we believe that collaboration, exchange of knowledge and joint initiatives are essential to addressing shared social and cultural challenges. We hope to contribute our experience while developing new partnerships, strengthening existing collaborations and creating opportunities for learning and cultural exchange that benefit communities in Cyprus and across the Mediterranean.
