Mission and Objectives
Mission: Le Monnot Theatre is a vibrant space where art connects with audiences from all walks of life and opens windows onto the world. Every member of the team adds to the theatre’s energy and vitality. We program and host a diverse range of performances to engage different audiences, serving as a bridge between cultures and artistic disciplines. Objectives: Maintain its leadership role within the Lebanese theatre scene, produce and perform excellent theatre, develop programming for very young children, encourage artist mobility and artist residencies.
Main Projects / Activities
: In addition to a wide variety of high-quality theatre performances and concerts, Le Monnot holds space for learning and healing through theatre (seminars for emerging and established artists, theatre therapy workshops) and supports Inclusion of patrons with disabilities through its accommodation projects for Blind and Deaf spectators and outreach to artists with disabilities.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Le Monnot Theatre would be thrilled to collaborate with other members in the Lebanon network, for example, through: residencies, conferences (speaking and/or hosting), artistic exchanges, advertising and publicity collaborations, hosting troupes, producing theatre. We remain open to suggestions from others in the Network and look forward to a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
Le Monnot Theatre is always looking for ways to expand its reach, exchange ideas, and bring theatre to new audiences. Membership in such a large and prestigious network would help us achieve that goal. In addition, we would like to learn more about participating in regional events, such as those organized by the Foundation, and benefit from professional development opportunities as well as support emerging artists and organizations with missions complementary to ours.
